I cringe every time I hear someone say, “I don’t expect anything. That way I’ll never be disappointed.”
So many cliches come to mind. Expect nothing and that’s exactly what you will get. People will treat you the way you allow. What a ridiculous attitude. What a mediocre way to live. Ick.
Not me. I’d rather expect a miracle and believe that all things are possible. I’d rather enjoy greatness. I like to thrive, rather than merely hope to survive.
